Manchester City Football Club is an English soccer club based in Manchester and founded in 1880 under the name of St. Mark's (West Gorton). The club became Ardwick Association Football Club in 1887 before taking its current name in 1894. Known as City, The Citizens, or The Sky Blues, the professional team has been playing at the Etihad Stadium since 2003. The Mancunian derby pits them against the city's other big club, Manchester United. Since July 1, 2016, the club is coached by Pep Guardiola.
